A whopping TEN events
September was a crazy month at Bear & Eden and it would be fair to say that it was ‘eventful’. Since the kids went back to school we started hosting events and we have had a whopping TEN events!!!
We started off the Autumn with a beautiful Christening party for the gorgeous Archie.
It was such a lovely occasion and the Hunter family seemed very happy on the day. It was lovely to share such a special time with the family.
We were also delighted to have beautiful Molly’s 6th birthday in the coffee shop. She had such a magical Unicorn party and she could not be more pleased. The children were amazing and the entertainment from Party Kidz was just perfect. An all round success!!
This last weekend we also hosted little Joseph’s 1st birthday. This was so special for us as they have been regular and loyal customers since the day we opened. It’s been such a joy to watch this gorgeous little boy grow. We loved that we could help the Sharp family celebrate.
We have so many more private bookings coming up over the next few months, and we hope we can make them as special as these two have been.
Planning A Celebration?
If you are planning a celebration and looking for a venue then we would love to hear from you.
Sunday 7th September was a very busy day in our grade 2 listed barn. We had two events back to back. We don’t like to say no, you see, and so we were determined to fit both these requests in. We did.
Vision Fitness Bootcamp & Brunch
We started the morning with Henham’s Vision Fitness Bootcamp & Brunch. They Bootcamped with the fantastic Ollie at Vision Fitness and then came straight over to us to refuel with a top notch brunch. Some healthy and some not-so healthy but all well-deserved. This event was so popular that the Vision Fitness Pilates crew got involved and we ended up with 28 happy brunchers. Another Vision Fitness is coming up this month.
Lucy Howman’s Get Lucky Event
Brad then went straight into making a first class luxury buffet for the next event attendees; Lucy Howman’s Get Lucky event which focused on the power of the Law Of Attraction.
It was very well attended with 26 ladies all gripped by the speakers. It also looked fantastic with all the decorations. A really happy space. Not only that, Lucy and her guests contributed a massive amount to our nominated PANDAS charity and we are extremely grateful.
We Are Thrive – Mental Health Support
From Monday 9th September we started hosting our mental health support mornings with We Are Thrive. These are drop-in sessions for any parents struggling at the moment or just needing to get out the house and chat to others. I cannot tell you how amazing this non-profit organisation is.
We feel really lucky to be able to work with them. It runs from 10am-12pm and will continue throughout October and November. Check our Instagram and Facebook pages for up-to-date info.
It is run by the fantastic Lisa Jeremy, and is a group of mental health professionals who have all come together to support those that need it and make help accessible for all. The work they do is incredible and each individual person I have met has been fantastic.
Sane Mummies meet-ups
This is a new group running every Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am. It is a support group for anyone suffering with Postnatal depression or anxiety or who has previously suffered, and just wants to get out and chat to like-minded mums.
It is run by the absolutely delightful Lou Kennan, and is such a lovely group of ladies. It is an informal meet-up positioned by the play area so your children can play and you can have a coffee (or two) in peace.
Please come and join us if you are suffering or have suffered and know you are not alone. I joined in with the group last week and left feel so uplifted and positive. You will too!
Calm Mamas Club
Our first Calm Mamas Club event on 16th September was a sell-out! We had 31 women in the coffee shop, having brunch and drinks and just chatting to one another. It was so lovely to be a part of it.
We were also fortunate enough to have the fantastic speaker Suzy Reading, who is a psychologist, author and self-care expert, giving her tips on fitting self-care into our daily lives as mums.
The barn looked beautiful, the goody bags were just amazing and it was an all-round super morning. We even had the newspaper come in and photograph us.
Our next Calm Mamas Club event is currently planned for Monday 18th November. Look out for more details and tickets being sold soon.
